I’m a convert! I used to use the lansinoh pump and switching to this one. The suction is much stronger, it is better thought out in design, and is more comfortable to hold while pumping. On the purple pump I needed to use the 2nd notch and still wished it was stronger. This one I used the 2nd and couldn’t go all the way. The whole top part of the pump is clear so you know exactly how much you have in the chamber and can make sure it won’t back fill into the top sucker (this happened to me almost every time with the purple) and I’m not sure what it is but it just feels better in my hand. I do with the flanges were a bit bigger like the purple but they are curved unlike the purple. Overall a huge win and so glad I found this pump!

Excellent manual pumps for high yields of milk
The Hygeia was recommended to me by a friend, and wow, what a great pump! I had been using the Medela Harmony, but the Hygeia has a much higher strength range, which produces more milk in less time. Love it and will recommend Hygeia to all.

Best manual pump design! The thumb hole is a game changer.
I’ve tried a few manual pumps, but this Hygeia one is by far the most comfortable to hold. The addition of the thumb hole is such a smart design choice—it gives you much better leverage and makes it so easy to hold and operate with just one hand without your hand getting tired. It’s also very quiet and the suction is gentle but effective. Perfect for traveling or quick sessions. Highly recommend!
