Great for 3 year old
My 3 year old started school. We are located in Florida 🥵. They go outside and play everyday so I noticed his face red and flushed. I started looking for the moisturizer with SPF in it. I found this and it is easy to apply and the smell is light. Very happy with my purchase. It feels good to know I’m protecting his precious face.

Good everyday face lotion with sunscreen for kids but strong fragrance
We live in Florida and spend time outside every day all year round. So a good SPF is essential in the sunshine state especially on sensitive kid skin.We have two toddlers and a baby and all three have sensitive skin so I’m cautious when it comes to choosing any product that goes on their skin.I like the idea of this moisturizer with SPF. It provides protection from the sun while also moisturizing the skin. And that I have never seen for kids! I use a moisturizer like that and was so excited that aveeno came out with this. After spending so much time outside and in the pool and ocean, it really does dry out my kids skin so having a sun protectant and moisturizer in one is a game changer, I’ve been waiting for a product like this.It’s quite small, but you don’t need too much to cover a kids face in product. It’s pretty lightweight and goes on very smooth leaving no white cast on the skin. My kids with densitive skin tolerated it very well and had no reaction to it.I tried it on my own face. It does feel a little moisturizing but does also feel like sunscreen if I’m honest. While it doesn’t sit heavily on the skin, you can still feel the product on your skin. It’s not greasy but you can feel the coverage and it doesn’t just get soaked up in the skin.My least favorite part is the fragrance. I don’t mind it but it’s definitely a little stronger than I would’ve liked. And it doesn’t just lightly smell like oats as another person commented. It’s not a bad scent per se but especially for kids like mine with sensitive skin I wish it came unscented.We just had a weekend getaway at a hotel with lots of fun pool and we’re outside for hours. And all I can say is none of my kids got a sunburn, or dry skin in their face. So overall it held up very well and worked well for us.This is definitely something I will put on my kids face when we head out to the playground or beach etc and gives me ease of mind knowing that their faces are protected from the sun and also get some much needed moisture at the same time.

Omg this is terrible. IMMEDIATELY turned my son PURPLE. Had to rewash his face a few times before being able to remove the purple from his face. Absolutely do NOT recommend! Not worth the price for the amount or product in general. Purchase something else.

Gentle mineral sunscreen from Aveeno does the trick
I’ve used Aveeno products for my face/body and my kids as well for years. Got this small bottle of Aveeno Kids Daily Moisture Face Lotion & Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 to try on my kid every morning before school during a week of “outdoor school”, and it worked well enough that I will be getting it again.Since it uses zinc oxide, it comes out of the tube pretty white, and I spend about fifteen seconds rubbing it in so my child doesn’t look like a ghost. But, once it settles, the white layer mostly disappears into a subtle sheen that feels hydrating rather than sticky or greasy.Like most mineral sunscreens, it doesn’t have that heavy, chemical sunscreen smell. Instead, there is just a very faint, clean oat scent that fades almost immediately. It is also gentle around the eyes, which is a huge plus because we used to deal with stinging and tears with other brands, even occasionally with other mineral brands.The small bottle is a good size for purse or backpack as well, but would need to go into a baggie to make sure it didn’t leak anywhere, as it is a pump rather than a squeeze tube.I do like the product, though, and will be getting it in a larger size to keep at home!

Soft and non-gritty
I’ve tried many physical sunscreens formulated for kids and babies. Most of them have a gritty texture from the physical sunscreen particles. This sunscreen has a really soft and non-gritty feeling. Of course, it does still have the physical sunscreen, particles, and the time you feel it is really when you’re trying to wash it off. You will probably still need to use an oil based cleaner to get all of the sunscreen off your skin, otherwise it makes your skin really dry. This is true for all physical sunscreens. 🧴The bottle that it comes in is pretty tiny. It’s really meant for the face. For the size of the bottle and the price, it is not cheap. However, it is definitely a more refined and better quality physical sunscreen than the competing drugstore brand sunscreen that I have tried. I would definitely rank this at the very top of my list of drugstore sunscreens, if you do not consider the price.

These are a gamer changer for us. My kids hate sun screen on their face, but these go on and feel like lotion. They do stay white a bit longer than lotion so that could give it away if they look in the mirror.They do not have the typical sun screen smell at all even though it is mineral based. The small bottle travels well. The dispenser part twists to lock, but I’m paranoid so I have been keeping it in the box.We’ve been an Aveeno family for both of our kids so we were not hesitant to give this a try. We’ve been using it for long days outside (no swimming) and they are functioning well as sun screen and neither kids have any any irritation or sun burns.It’s not the cheapest out there, but it also don’t take a lot to cover a kid’s face, so I’m okay with it. But if we started doing regular outdoor sports and used it multiple times a day on a daily basis, it may not be within our budget.
