Safer than Bladed Electric Nail Trimmers
I am a nail enthusiast and while I am accustomed to using e-files like what nail technicians use, I had never used electronic trimmers like this until recently. I did try another that had a rotating blade to trim and I hated it. I worried that this would be similar, but thankfully it isn’t.This tool uses a round sanding disc that spins perpendicular to where you insert your nail – so it files it down, it doesn’t cut it. I’d feel a lot better about using this in general – on myself or another person, even a baby or someone who lacks dexterity to care for their own nails. It has one button that allows you to power it on, cycle through 3 rotation speeds, and power off.It is a pretty simple tool. The instructions are on the box, it comes with a short charging cable. It does not come with replacement discs, though, so when you wear through it, it is done. I haven’t seen any replacements for purchase, so this may end up being e-waste. The guard head is removeable so you can use this for nail plate buffing too, but I don’t have that need and am not going to test it accordingly because my nails are already on the thin side.For an inexpensive tool, this could help a lot of folks. I will keep it in case I need it, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase unless I used it up caring for someone else – I have manual files and e-files that I prefer.

What I received looks nothing like the photos included with the product description. It’s not the difference in color (see photos I’ve included) that matters, it’s the actual quality of the grinder. It looks like you are getting a well-constructed item. It is not. It’s lightweight plastic and feels very cheap. The photos suggest you are getting a shiny, smooth grinder. Mine is a matte plastic that looks very cheap. The top also will not come off. If I force it, I probably will end of breaking something because of the flimsy plastic.As far as the actual grinding? I can’t tell you because I’d need longer nails to find out. Forget about using this on a baby’s nails. They’d have to grow long claws before you could actually use this grinder.
