Hello, I’m Helen!

After receiving leather baby shoes for my son, I saw a need for affordable, quality footwear and began designing Dotty Fish.

Barefoot shoes are best for little feet. The flexible, non-restrictive design of our soft sole shoes means your child can curl, spread, and wiggle their toes just as they would if barefoot. This is essential for building strength and coordination during those precious early steps.

How did Dotty Fish Start?

Dotty Fish started in 2006, My son was given a gift of a pair of baby shoes that were very expensive. I wanted to purchase some more but I couldn’t find anything at a reasonable price. I decided to do some research to see if I could produce a more affordable shoe, and that’s when Dotty Fish started.

What makes our products unique?

We have always believed that a soft sole baby shoe is best for babies and toddlers as their feet grow and develop. So, we decided to have our baby shoes tested. We are proud to say they are approved by podiatrists.

Dotty Fish soft sole shoes have been tested and recommended by the London Podiatry Centre, a leading authority on children’s foot health. The assessment confirms that the soft, flexible designs support natural foot development – similar to walking barefoot. Our shoes thus meet recognized podiatric standards for growing children’s feet.
