Wow, the baby hip carrier from Qadence is extremely similar to my much more expensive carrier by Itzy Ritzy, but this one has an important feature that the other doesn’t! First off, the fancy “Itzy Ritzy” is nearly 2.5x the cost of this product, but overall is nearly identical. While that unit has a folding shelf, this unit’s shelf is solid and doesn’t fold. However, this carrier from Qadence allows you to use that space as basically a normal fanny pack! There is a lot of space in that pocket, which so many other shelf baby carriers block you from using. I’m very happy to finally have the storage space there!If you haven’t used one before, these hip shelf carriers are great. They’re much less secure than traditional carriers, so you need to keep a good grip on your kiddo. However, they also are way easier to get on and much much faster too! I can strap this carrier on or off in just a few seconds, whereas a traditional harness might take me a minute or more to get installed, during which time my kid is screaming. These are great for around the house use, especially on holidays when people want me to pass the kid off often. They’re helpful on my back, but will eventually cause my back to get sore after about 1 hour of wearing.I really like this baby carrier!
