LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!
I know, you may be wondering what moron needs this, right?I take super hot showers and don’t even realize they’re hot. I only know they’re hot because I turn bright red afterwards and if my husband’s jumping in after me, he screams.So before our baby was born 7 weeks ago, I ordered this to finish off my baby registry (no one bought it for us probably thinking this was a needless gadget.)But they were sooooo wrong!This is an awesome baby bathtime invention!!! What I really love is that the whole gadget is automatic. I don’t have to turn anything on or off. I don’t have to push buttons or calibrate anything. All you do is put it into the tub and listen for the beeps or read the temperature.HOW IT WORKS:It automatically turns on when it hits the water… and automatically turns off when you take it out of the water (GENIUS!!)It beeps the first time to let you know it’s on.After that, it beeps if the water falls outside the range of 90-100 degrees.My only complaint is that it’s slightly bigger than I thought. I’m using it in the Fisher-Price Whale of a Playtub and it fits into the bottom bigger portion without any problems (even with the baby in the tub).Besides using it to fill the tub initially, I also use it when I’m getting ready to rinse off the baby. I put it in the bigger part of the whale tub and before I pour the water on him, I know it’s a perfect temp. This set also includes a cute little cup that slowly sprinkles just the right amount of water to either rinse off baby or keep him warm during the bath.Even though the baby books and websites tell you to test the water temp on the inside of your arm, it’s tough to know if it’s too cold or too hot for baby. The reason I like having the exact temp is because I figure baby is 98.6… so if I make the water close to that temp, I know it will be perfect. The first time I bathed the baby, I didn’t use this because I was already overwhelmed with the baby and I think he was cold. But I now rely on this gadget and he’s been a happy bather ever since.

Surprisingly useful
Any item like this is no substitute for adult supervision… That being said, I am very satisfied that I bought this item (for $8.24), would buy it again if mine broke for some reason, and would happily recommend it as a gift. I agree with all the listed product features but I reordered them based on my priorities:1. Alerts you with an audible alarm if the water is too hot (>100.4 F / 38 C) or if the water is too cold (<89.6 F/ 32 C) as a reminder to keep the water temperature in a comfortable range2. Reads bath temperature and updates the digital display (in F and C) every 2 seconds (although rapidly updates, remember to account for a gradient from a running faucet)3. Makes a fun floating toy as well (green smiling turtle on one side and the flip side blue dotted mound can be an "iceberg" for other bath toys to stand on)4. Activates automatically (display turns on when water contacts the sensors in the base, and deactivates when the water drains out) which saves the LR44 1.5V button battery5. Easy to use with no buttons (has been very reliable for the 2 years that I've used it so far, including being dropped numerous times)Because you can see a near-instant digital display of the water temperature, there is no comparison for this product to those that have heat-activated "HOT" printed on on them (which at least for my Munchkin duck and bathtub grippy dots, start to turn white at a still-comfortable 98ish Fahrenheit). It is very useful to see the display to adjust to a consistent water temperature during bath time no matter what your room temperature is currently (since how warm your own body is compared to the ambient air will affect how comfortable you think the water is when you test it with your hand). I find it useful whether your goal is to create a warm bath for playtime or to make a tepid bath to help reduce a fever.

Why didn’t I get this sooner?
This is an awesome product! Our baby was always afraid to go into the bath before we started using this thermometer. She always looked suspicious when she approached the water. We bought the product because she became afraid of bathing. We always tested the water with our elbows, but we could just not get it right for her. Since the first time we started using this product, she has been very comfortable with getting into the water. She’s just never fussy about it, and not even suspicious any more. She has learned to expect a consistently comfortable bath temperature. She loves taking baths thanks to this amazing little gadget! If you could dream up an absolutely perfect baby bath thermometer, it would be this one. The creators really thought of everything. It beeps very gently and very quietly when the temperature is outside the ideal range, but only when it is in contact with water. How brilliant! You can take it out of the bath and it won’t bother you with the alarm anymore. Kudos to Minds InSync! It is worth much more than its price. Our baby is too young to play with it yet (8 months), but I’m sure it will make an excellent bath toy when the time comes.

Lei que dejaba de funcionar, pero aun así decidí comprarlo. NO LO VUELVO A HACER. le compre la pila, sirvió perfecto los primeros 2 o 3 semanas y después, ya no prendía, no daba señales del agua, la marcaba mal. UNA BASURA. no lo compres, invierte un poco y compra uno mejor, este no paso del mes de uso.
