I didn’t need all these functions and found to be confusing. I didn’t need to take the temperature of my surroundings, etc. I simply wanted to take my temperature the easy way and chose a different thermometer that would do this.It may be great for someone else, but not for me

In the past year i have had to purchase 3 medical digital thermometers. This is the 3rd. the other two failed after only a few uses. if this one does not last, I’m going back to glass thermometers. We will see how it turns out.

Been accurate for me
I’ve been using the FC-IR206 infrared thermometer for my family, and it’s been incredibly convenient—especially with a baby in the house. The non-contact feature is a huge plus because I can take my baby’s temperature without waking them up, which is a lifesaver during naps or at night. It’s very quick (just a second or two), and I like that it can switch between forehead and object mode, so I can also check things like bottle temperature or bath water.The readings have been consistent for me, which is the most important thing I look for in a thermometer. I also appreciate that it’s FDA 510(k) cleared, which gave me a bit more confidence in its accuracy. The display is clear and easy to read, even in low light, and the overall design feels lightweight but not cheap. It’s simple to use right out of the box without needing to constantly refer to instructions.If I had to point out a downside, it can be a little sensitive to distance and positioning, so you have to make sure you’re using it exactly as directed to get the most accurate result. But once you get the hang of it, it’s very reliable. Overall, I think it’s a great thermometer for families—fast, hygienic, and especially useful for checking temperatures on kids without the usual fuss.

Finally upgraded the old stick in the mouth thermometer!
Goosh, it took me awhile to get into the 21st century regarding checking temperatures on kids. How easy is this infrared thermometer to use? Point and click…that easy. Super quick, accurate and simple. I can’t ask for anything more from this little guy. So happy to have it, works like a charm. The kids don’t even know what I am doing…don’t have to get out the alcohol wipes to clean the old stick thermometer…that has mercury in it…and put it in their mouth and make them hold it there for awhile and DON’T talk…Anyway, glad to have this.

Better than those that require touch
We have a number of different thermometers that require touching the head. And one for children that even converts to an ear thermometer. They seem to provide different readings even when taking two measurements back to back in the same way. Not this one. It’s consistent and seems to be very accurate. I’m amazed at how well it works. It’s fast and super convenient. I don’t have to clean it for different family members because it doesn’t touch the forehead.The only caution is that you can’t use it right after you’ve gone outside if the weather is hot or cold because that seems to give incorrect readings. But as long as you have been in a temperature controlled environment for a bit, I’ve had no issues with accuracy. I couldn’t be happier with this thermometer. Think about getting one to keep in other places like grandparents houses.
