This Doli Yearning baby bath thermometer is adorably cute, I got the whale but there are also other choices like a turtle or duck. It’s made of a hard plastic for durability. It’s a bath toy in addition to a room and water temperature thermometer. The digital display is easily readable, and is accurate. The display can be switched to either Fahrenheit or Celsius and has a timer that shuts off the thermometer after 40 minutes of inactivity.There is no on/off switch so you just have to let it turn itself off. I think it’s a waste of battery power and would have liked to have has a switch instead. It can be turned on by pressing a button underneath or it also turns on automatically once it’s put in water. When in bath mode, the thermometer will flash blue with a beeping buzzer with the word COOL if the water gets too cold, and flash red with a beeping buzzer and the word HOT if it gets too cold.This thermometer can also measure the temperature of room air accurately. Cute and practical, this thermometer would be a great baby shower gift or for a newborn gift basket.

I wouldn’t have guessed that something like this would ever be necessary as I don’t need a thermometer to tell me if a bath is too hot or cold but this thing has lots of other uses too.It’s a well made thermometer, timer and with my oldest it’s a learning tool. It looks like a bath toy to my youngest and it’s used as such by everyone really. It has a nice bright display to keep track of how long they’ve been in there and helps the oldest learn numbers and what those numbers mean in relation to hot/cold water as well as time management when they know they need to get out and into bed.Not 100% accurate vs cooking thermometer but it’s very close and with the safety and educational options you’re getting a great deal with this one for less than $20. It’s also got a great battery lock that will keep your little ones from getting it out of there and eating it.

Flashing lights and beeps alert you if water is too hot or cold
I tend to be more aware of when the bath water is too hot rather than too cold, so I love that this cute little whale thermometer has settings and alarms for both high and low temps. It’s made from a rigid plastic that has no strong plastic smell, and the electronics are well sealed away so it can be fully submerged without causing any damage to the internal circuits. The display is not backlit, but it can still be easily read in good light (and who would give their baby a bath in dim lighting, anyway?), plus a backlight would likely wear down the battery a lot faster. The thermometer turns on automatically when the sensor detects that it’s in water, or it can be turned on using the buttons. It started out showing the temp in Celsius, but happily it has a memory function; all I had to do was click the ‘F/C’ button once and now Fahrenheit is its default setting.There is an indicator light that blinks in blue if the water gets too cold and red if it’s too hot. The ‘too cool’ threshold is 86 degrees, and the default ‘too hot’ setting is 102 degrees, although the hot setting can be changed by the user. Either way, the blinking light is accompanied by a beeping that is fairly quiet so it’s not likely to startle a baby (too much). The instructions on how to change the defaults are fairly straightforward. The English isn’t perfect, but I had no trouble understanding any of the information.It comes with an LR44 button battery already installed. LR44 is a common battery type so it won’t be difficult or pricey to get a new one whenever this one runs out. The battery compartment is tightly closed and I can’t pry it open without a tool, so there’s no way a baby or very young child could, either. An intrepid 3-4 year old could probably figure it out, so I’ll store it with other bath and body items (Q-tips, bandaid ointment, etc.) that I don’t want a child getting into.

Peace-of-Mind Temp Check In A Cute Float
I’ve used this floating bath thermometer for about a month and it has taken the guesswork out of baby bath time. Drop it in, it wakes up on its own, and the LCD shows the water temp within about a minute. The blue and red alerts are obvious, and the soft beep is just loud enough to catch my attention without startling anyone. I set it to Fahrenheit on day one and it has remembered that setting ever since.Accuracy has been solid. Side by side with my kitchen probe it tracked within a degree in warm water, and it also gives a reasonable read in the nursery when I leave it out after bath. The timer is a thoughtful touch, especially on tired nights when five minutes can turn into fifteen. It floats upright, is easy to grab with wet hands, and the smooth housing rinses clean and dries quickly.A few notes from daily use. The screen is not backlit, so good bathroom lighting helps, and there is no true off switch, it goes to sleep on its own after a short stretch out of water. The LR44 battery is common and the compartment is snug, which I prefer around curious hands. Size is palm small, so it doubles as a toy without taking over the tub.For the price, the value is excellent. It is simple, accurate, and genuinely reduces stress at bath time. I wish every newborn checklist included one of these.

Nice bath thermometer
Nice, simple baby bath thermometer.It is made of hard plastic and very lightweight. Comes with simple instructions and automatically turns on when you put it into the water. Accurate in measuring the bath water and the room temperature. I used it to prepare my bath water for my cats and dog and it worked well. It was nice that it floats and can be used as a baby toy. Also nice that it makes a low beep sound if the temperature is out of range and dries very easily with a hand towel. You do have to have good lighting to read the temperature.Overall, a simple basic bath thermometer that is good value.
