1. How do I update the firmware for the monitor and camera?
For first use, update the firmware to the latest version:
-Camera: Connect to the eufy Baby app, then go to Me > My Devices > Settings > About Device > Firmware Update.
-Monitor: On the screen, go to Monitor Settings > About Device > Firmware Update.
2. What situations are suitable for using the battery-powered camera?
The camera works great whether plugged in or running on its 5,000mAh built-in battery, ensuring seamless use during trips or power outages. When using battery power, you can expect about 9 hours of use and around 5.5 hours with night vision.
3. What detection features does the camera have?
The camera features cry detection, loud noise detection, and temperature monitoring. You can adjust the sensitivity for cry and noise detection with five different levels and set the push notification intervals to avoid frequent disturbances.
4. What does the Wi-Fi switch do on the camera?
The Wi-Fi switch is there to protect your privacy and security. When it’s turned on, the camera connects to your router, letting you view the livestream on the app. If you turn it off, the camera will only connect to the monitor.
5. How does Smart Connect work?
Smart Connect is enabled by default. When the camera’s Wi-Fi switch is on and it’s connected to Wi-Fi, your device automatically switches between Wi-Fi and local connection for optimal streaming. To disable it, turn off the camera’s Wi-Fi.

Bought this after our leap frog baby monitor randomly stopped working.This is way better quality. Solidly built. Functions well. Clear video. Easy to use app. Came with mount and charging base for monitor. Ability to record 24/7. Can shut off WiFi if directly on camera with a switch. Like it so much we just ordered a second camera to add on to it.

The silent update!
So I owned this monitor back in fall of 2024, it was horrible. I couldn’t get signal from 25-30 feet away.Okay now to today, a couple days ago I being an Amazon vine member noticed Eufy had two listings for the E21 camera. $20 difference in price. So I let Amazon Rufus compare the models for me. It said that they had changed some components in the monitor and camera and that was the difference. Okay, knowing how bad it was last time I used it and going down the Reddit rabbit hole I was the norm,That said. I repurchased it after seeing they changed some things silently. And what do you know?! I have signal! It works well. Everything is the same as it was last time. Just improved signal quality and I’m sure a few other things. So if you have been wondering about this monitor and whether it works? It does work now. But just a note, their C10 monitor? I would say that ones almost the better or the two. Picture is more crisp and you never have to use the antenna, that’s how good the signal is. And it has noise reduction.I will also highlight the battery, it’s rock solid. I can go 10 hours at night without it on the charger and have battery left over.So hats off to Eufy for caring about their customers and fixing the issues!

Upgraded to 3 stars. The issues seemed to resolve themselves after resetting the camera multiple times, attaching the camera to my phone with the screen powered off before attaching the screen, and using AI to figure out how to share the camera with others. Importantly, the screen seems to be working over wifi now, which is the most important feature for us. if the camera works stably as is, it is fine. good even. but the inexplicable problems in the beginning and difficulty to set the thing up should keep most people away from this product. if you are lucky and it works for you out of the box, it may be a 5 star camera. I lost hours to the thing not working as it should.———Original 1 star review:This product is a hot mess. Avoid. Brand new unit. Plugged in constantly. And yet, the battery dies and the monitor stops working. There is no way to keep the camera running. Also, the included screen is not WiFi, you have to use the screen OR app, but not both. why? You cannot disable smart focus and leave it zoomed in and set at one spot. Sharing camera does not workThe camera image is great when the battery is charged, but that never happens. It is possible that these are all software issues, but as it stands, camera is an unusable.Also, this camera was launched by Anker in 2024, and yet there are < 100 reviews? How?
