ADORABLE Owl White Noise Machine with Lots of Features for the Price
This rechargeable white noise machine is super cute, and I absolutely love the owl shape. It looks just as adorable in person as it does in photos.If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option, this is an excellent value at the current $11.99 price. The machine is easy to operate and fairly intuitive.The volume control, however, can be a bit confusing at first. You adjust the volume by holding down the volume button, and it will continue in one direction -either louder or quieter -until it reaches the end of its range. When it reaches maximum volume, it beeps. Press and hold the button again, and it will then travel all the way back down to the softest volume and beep again to indicate it has reached the lowest level.You can’t reverse direction mid-adjustment; for example, if it’s getting louder, it will continue increasing until it reaches the loudest setting and beeps. At that point, you can hold the button again to move in the quieter direction. You simply release the button when it reaches your preferred volume. That said, it only goes so quiet, which isn’t quite as low as I personally prefer -but I do like very quiet sound.The speaker quality is fairly basic, which is what you’d expect at this price point. Some sounds come through better than others. A few options sound slightly like the audio is trapped inside the unit, and the “shhh” sound on mine is a bit tinny, almost as if the speaker can’t fully handle it. The fireplace sound does offer some deeper, whirring tones, but those are paired with crackling.On the plus side, there is a warm glowing light at the bottom of the owl that emits a soft, pleasant glow. It can be set to off, on, or slowly pulsing, which is a nice touch for nighttime use.There’s also a timer function that allows the machine to automatically shut off after 30, 60, or 90 minutes, as well as a cry sensor that will automatically turn the sound machine on when noise is detected.This is an ADORABLE, functional, and affordable white noise machine, especially for anyone looking for a decorative, budget-conscious option with a solid range of features. It also comes with a plastic ring, which is helpful if you’d like to attach it to something like a stroller.I rated it 4 stars due to the basic noise quality, the quirky volume control, and the lack of my preferred brown noise setting.

Portable White Noise Machine With Some Drawbacks
I was looking for a portable white noise machine with cry detection that we could take on walks or use when we are out and about. I wanted something rechargeable that could easily attach to our stroller, car seat, or bassinet. When I came across this owl shaped white noise machine, I thought it looked cute and seemed like it would check most of those boxes.This is a rechargeable unit and comes with 15 different sound options. It also has a small light at the bottom and includes a ring so you can clip it onto baby gear. The buttons are large and easy to access, which is nice when you are trying to adjust settings quickly. The speaker gets fairly loud and offers multiple volume levels, which gives you some flexibility depending on your environment. There is also a strap that makes it easy to attach to a stroller, car seat, or crib, and the flat, wide base allows it to sit on a table without tipping.The biggest issue I ran into is the cry detection feature. It is extremely sensitive and seems to activate with even very slight sounds. If your baby is already asleep, this can actually end up waking them instead of soothing them. The light feature is also very minimal. It is a small bulb located on the bottom, and if the machine is sitting on a table, it does not provide any usable light at all.Overall, for the price, this is a decent portable white noise machine with some useful features. However, due to the overly sensitive cry detection and the underwhelming light, I will likely be using this as a backup option rather than our main sound machine.
