Best, Confidence Inspiring Baby Nail Clippers
I’m a first time Mom of a 3 week old daughter and I just absolutely love these nail clippers. Before she was born, I didn’t really see a need to buy separate nail clippers for her, I figured that I could just use my own. So many baby products are simply not necessary and never used. But for the price, I figured, I could risk it and just have them just in case. I was so lucky to have bought the right one on the first go. The choices for baby nail clippers are basically just miniature nail clippers, the ones with the magnifying glass and then this one with the safety bumpers and the light. I also decided to invest in these because plenty other Mommas out there had told me how baby nails are paper thin, hard to see, sharp as razors and many Mommas were still afraid to clip them in fear of accidentally hurting baby so they just put on those baby hand gloves instead (these prevent baby from scratching up their faces with their sharp little baby talons as they flail around in their first months of life).Once I had my little one, I finally understood what all the other Mommas were talking about. It’s all true. Baby nails also grow so quickly and I’m finding that they need to be trimmed every three days or so. I’m only clipping a tiny, tiny little bit off at a time, but it’s this little bit, that when left unchecked, really allow them to scratch up their faces and scratch me up too. They really are sharp!! I found that the best times to clip are when she’s breastfeeding or when she’s asleep. Since I’m using these all the time now, I really found them to be a Must-Have.These clippers are great because the light really does help A LOT. These little tiny fingers and tiny little nails are hard enough to see. Also, I’m clipping when she’s napping/breastfeeding – this means usually I’m in bed with the lights on low. I’m definitely not doing this in bright sunlight or a brightly lit room – so the light on these really help. It allows her to not have to be bothered by bright lights while I have this handy little task light aimed precisely where I need it. The safety bumpers on either side of the clippers serve 2 functions: 1. holds the tiny LED lights 2. prevents you from sliding the clippers too far up her finger and clipping too much nail. In fact, between the size of the clippers and the safety bumpers, I find that the clippers pretty much fit right up against her nail perfectly for a safe and easy cut. This really makes it easier and is also really helps build my confidence in this task.I completely recommend this product. It’s so fairly priced and it’s such a necessary task that I would buy two.UPDATE: My baby is now over 4 months and I’ve been using these nail clippers since her birth. They are still going strong and I still love them. They work perfectly, the light is still a must have since the best time to clip her nails are still at night when she’s sleeping. During this time, I’ve heard of many Moms who have accidentally clipped bits of finger while trying to clip baby nails to where there’s blood and everything. I’m so grateful I haven’t had an accident yet (knock on wood) and I feel like these clippers really help to minimize that risk greatly. Still highly recommend these!

Must have for every parent!
These are by far the best infant/child nail clippers ever! The little flashlight at the end makes it so easy to see while trimming their tiny nails. They’ve even been great for teaching my older kids how to trim their own nails because they can see what they’re doing.

Best baby/kid nail clippers
I got a pair of these when my 8 year old was born. After a couple of years they broke, but are overall very durable. In fact, I have bought two other pairs since then so I have a travel pair and at-home pair. I have tried other baby nail clippers and none have given me the confidence of trimming my kids’ nails.

I wanted too love these!
I really wanted to love the Safety 1st Sleepy Baby Nail Clipper, and I do think it has some good features, but it just wasn’t the easiest for me to use on my baby. The design is nice and it feels safe, which I appreciate, especially when dealing with tiny fingers. That being said, I personally found it a bit tricky to get a good grip and angle, and I still struggled to trim my baby’s nails smoothly. I’ve tried quite a few different tools, and this one might actually work better on a slightly older baby or toddler when their nails are a little thicker and easier to manage.Overall, it’s a decent product and I love that it’s made with baby safety in mind—it just didn’t completely solve the challenge for me.

Safe and easy to use for baby
This baby nail clipper is very easy to use and feels safe when trimming my baby’s nails. The size is perfect for small fingers, and the grip is comfortable to hold.It cuts smoothly without being too sharp, which helps avoid accidental nicks. I also like that it’s simple and straightforward, especially for new parents.Very practical and reliable. Definitely recommend!

Great to use, but doesn’t last very long
The nail clippers work great. I’ve not nicked my son’s skin once using these, and they’re easy to hold. The light is very helpful and makes it easy to see what you’re doing. Some people report that the light is too bright, but I don’t have an issue with it. You don’t want to stare directly at it, but I find it very helpful. I loved them – while they lasted. The downside: The clippers aren’t durable at all. My son is not yet 9 months and I already have to replace them. The little metal piece that attaches the lever to the main part of the clippers isn’t very durable. After just a few months of (gentle) use, it started giving way, so the lever slides, and if you’re not holding it exactly in the right angle, it won’t cut, so you have to try over and over again – not fun with a squirmy baby. Ist just broke off completely (see picture).Probably for the same reason, the light on the clippers also tends to come on randomly when you’re not even touching the clippers – the lever moves away from the button that keeps the light off, and so it turns on when you don’t want it to. Someone would bump against the table, and the light would come on. Luckily (??) the clippers broke before the light’s battery could exhaust itself because of this.Edit: Our second one broke now, too. It lasted a lot longer than the first one, though. We now have two kids, and used these almost every day to cut the baby’s and the toddler’s nails. The light still worked, but once again, the lever broke off. For this one, we didn’t have the issue where the light doesn’t turn off even when it’s supposed to. I found these so easy to use and convenient that I’m now ordering a third pair.

Wish I would have bought way sooner
I wish I would have bought these way sooner! Clipping my babies nails while awake is wayyyy too difficult and trying to do it while sleeping while holding my phone flashlight was also too hard. These made clipping his nails while sleeping so so much easier.

Works great exactly what it’s meant for and the light is a plus. Just need to be careful when not using make sure the light is not on when you put it away in the drawer.

たまに使ってます。LED眩しすぎです。電池交換は出来ないかも。大人用と違って開く幅も小さいから危なくない。持ちやすさもいい。切れ味は普通です。
