Better than expected by Far.
I saw a low price and a few reviews, but I took a chance anyway because I saw that it was shipped from Amazon and had free returns. It was so much better than I thought it would be. It’s nice, sturdy, well-packaged, and easy to install. It takes some force to lift it when opening, but not much. And I’m sure the springs will soften with use. 10/10. Highly recommend.

We picked this one up so that we could keep our dogs in the kitchen when we go somewhere without them for a bit. We don’t like leaving them for long, so we usually don’t have any issues, but we do have a very young dog, so accidents happen, and this gate lets us limit where they occur.First of all, this is a very good, sturdy pet gate. I’ve seen and tried a few, and this one is as good as I’ve ever seen for a reasonable price. The hinges are sturdy, and the bottom edge has caster wheels, which is a touch I really appreciate as it takes some weight off whatever the gate is attached to. the adjustability means that it should also fit a wide range of door sizes, and I’d think every common single door size anywhere I’ve been.Be aware that this is intended for a permanent installation: This gate is intended to be bolted into your wall or door frame, and comes with the hardware to do so, and also includes a small water leveling tool to make things easier for you. So, if you’re after a temporary solution, this isn’t the one. And having said that, ours is currently not bolted in as it was in the way when carrying some things around.One thing worth noting, as far as the installation goes, is that the instructions that come with it are better than what I think something this simple deserves. Which is not to say that I don’t appreciate it – I really like when there are no question marks, and in this case I also think that the installation process they’ve laid out for you brings a little bit of added value.As far as looks go, it’s nothing special. It’s a clean, minimalistic, functional gate, that blends in well with the background and doesn’t stand out. It’s not invisible, thankfully, but it won’t ruin your interior design either, I should think.When picking this up, I thought the price seemed a bit high. $80 is more than what I’d expect for something that looks this simple, but as it turns out, I think that the value you get out of it actually justifies the cost.

Very Sturdy And Well Made
This gate turned out to be a really solid choice. It’s sturdy, well built, and does a great job keeping pets or kids safely contained. I like that it opens both ways and even closes on its own, which makes it really convenient when your hands are full. Once installed, it feels secure and smooth to use.Installation takes some patience, especially getting it level and marking the holes, but the instructions are clear and helpful. It’s meant to be mounted permanently, so it’s not something you’d move around often. Once it’s up though, it looks clean and simple, blends in nicely, and works exactly as it should.For the price, the quality and strength make it a great value. Definitely recommend it for anyone needing a reliable gate for kids or pets.

It’s a really good size and super sturdy… Once installed. Took my husband better part of an hour to install, just because of the way it’s put together. The top piece that gets attached to the wall has a 2 inch long hole where the bolt goes into the wall through the post, but because it’s so long it’s incredibly difficult to mark the spot where you need to drill the hole. Also, keeping it level and making sure the gate is straight is a challenge, since the gate needs to be removed to install the posts. But except for the frustration of installing it, I really like the fence! It opens and closes smoothly, shuts by itself without issues and stays open when you push it to a 90° angle. Works great for both our baby and dog!

I installed this baby gate at the top of my stairs and found it pretty straightforward to set up. The no bottom bar design makes it easy to roll a stroller through without any trouble. I like that it opens both ways and has an auto-close feature, which makes passing through quick. The gate feels sturdy and secure, and I trust it will keep my toddler safe. The pulley system makes it easy to move the gate without straining it.

A well fitting wide pet gate. Once I had read the instructions this gate was easy to fix together. The gate extends as well as widens so should fit most doorways, it fits ours well and we had to have the door widened to accommodate a wheelchair. It is standard height for a star gate so apart being for children it can be used for a dog gate so long as your dogs not very tall. There is no bar across the bottom for me to trip over either.
