Works well.
Got for keeping littles out of the kitchen. Pretty good. I like the additional stabilization bars so that the canvas cant be bent by screaming Herculean toddlers. Also it does not block anything when open since it just rolls up. The locking mechanism is ok. Just took a little getting used to. The install was pretty simple. Just make sure you make it wide enough to be taunt.

I actually bought this to use as a dog gate, not for babies (that ship has now sailed 😮💨) and it’s been perfect for our 2 dogs. We routinely use it to keep our 1yo Boxer puppy either upstairs or downstairs depending on the situation, and it’s holding up REALLY well!The retractable feature is smooth and easy to use even with one hand, which is helpful when I’m carrying things upstairs or down. The green/red twist lock is a nice touch—it makes it clear when it’s locked or not.Install was simple, brackets went in easy. I also really appreciate that it looks clean and modern in the house. No clunky metal gate swinging around or messing up the space. The fact that the gate rolls up into itself when not in use makes it way more convenient.I’ve also had friends (with toddlers) over recently, and it holds up great against the “curious little ones” too. The fabric is surprisingly strong and tight when extended.Highly recommend for dog owners or parents. This thing does the job without being bulky or ugly.

Just what we needed
Bought this to keep our dogs out of our cats space, it does the job! Was easy to set up, my cat can climb on and it doesn’t fall down so seems pretty sturdy.

Excellent and versatile
This gate is perfect for our needs, offering flexibility. We have it mounted at the top of our stairs with additional hooks, allowing us to easily block either the playroom or the stairwell depending on the situation.The reinforcement bars are a standout feature that other retractable gates don’t have—they limit sag to just 0.5–1 inch, preventing our curious baby from pushing or pulling it open. Also, we love that the bottom wall mount is adjustable. We’ve got chunky floor molding, but we cranked it up so the gate clears it and still drops flush to the floor. No gaps, no tripping, just clean and secure.One minor note: It only includes two hooks, but we needed four for dual configurations. We purchased extras separately, which solved the issue without hassle.Highly recommend for parents needing a reliable, adaptable safety gate!

Great for small children
We have 3 of these gates and they work great to restrict access to areas with dangers for my 2 small kids (just turned 3 and almost 2). I like the durability with the reenforced mesh gate and the multi-step but easy to lock/unlock design. The almost 2 year old (26lbs) has put this gate to the test, hanging on it, running toys into it, standing on the wall brackets, etc.. It was easy to install just watch if you’re using the template that the holes on the bracket lineup as the one set of holes does and one doesn’t.

I ordered this to contain the adorable human lipid that I call my child. The order arrived quickly but the factory box within the larger Amazon box had hemorrhaged opened and was clumsily taped over to contain the gate. Way to go with the quality control, Amazon. The top handle portion of the gate had come off of the gate itself, a failed rivet to blame. I had to drill out the rivet and add my own machine screw to fix it. The quality of the gate netting seems good and the reinforcement rods were a great idea, however, the plastic feels cheap, brittle and thin compared to another gate of a different brand that I own. The mounting templates and spacers to compensate for baseboards were appreciated. The spacers make the bottom mount look worse and likely decrease the strength of that portion as it no longer sits flush to the wall. Be careful not to over-tighten the gate mounts if you’re using a good drill. I’m not sure how much pressure they could take before splitting. Note that this seems more engineered for mounting the gate on the left and drawing it right to the wall hooks. In my case, I wanted to go left to right and it still works, though it’s a little skewed. We shall see if the little lovely fatness will break through. I don’t have a lot of confidence in this product’s longevity. I pay near $40 and get the $15 experience. Womp-womp.

brilliant gate, very simple to set up and very easy to use just pull the screen blind an clip to close much better than the traditional baby gates i grew up with.once your done using simply unclip and use the space again.although lightweight is seem very light weight and sturdy even with my toddler running full speed at it.overall very happy and would recommend

This is an easy-to-install, modern-looking safety gate. It fits well across my hallway, it is quick to use and keeps my cats safely in the flat.The gate is well-built and feels quite strong for small animals, but wouldn’t be suitable for bigger dogs. It could be used for children to slow them down, but it wouldn’t be a reliable safety gate as it isn’t strong enough.

This comes with impressive installation instructions which include drilling templates, which is a nice touch. The unit itself seem well-made with an easy-to-use lock system. I think it will be best used for small dogs or crawling babies, because larger children will soon learn how to unlock it, at which point it will spring back quite suddenly and roll itself up if you are not careful. And of course it is a flexible construction so cannot be manhandled roughly without the risk of damage, unlike a bulkier metal stairgate.But devices like this are great for unusual staircase widths, because of their total flexibility. And when rolled up it takes up very little space – no swinging door to bump into.
