Very confusing on how it works. There’s no on/off switch, it just randomly turns on. The rechargeable feature is very nice.

Totally cute
This floating crab thermometer is really cute. And it has a digital screen showing the current temperature of the water. The screen lights up and is orange when the temp is within safe range. It turns red, if it’s above the safe range, and turns green, when below it. It comes in by itself as soon as it touches the water. And shuts off on its own too. It is rechargeable but the battery last a long time. I have yet to have to charge mine since i got it, and i use it all the time. It’s completely worth every penny.

Perfect for my cold plunge!
Staying healthy & active as I get older is one of my biggest passions, so I’m always listening to podcasts about “biohacking” research & incorporating it into my workout & recovery routines.So I’ve been cold plunging 3-4 times a week for about 2 years now. It seems helpful in terms of having more energy, but I only recently learned, listening to a women’s health expert, that the temperature of the water matters, & The ideal temp is different for men & women – go figure! I always thought, the colder the better!This expert said, women get the most benefit when the water is 50 – 60° F.Here, I was just running the tap cold & dumping ice into the tub – had no idea of temperature.So was absolutely delighted to try this super cute, user friendly, & rechargeable floating pool thermometer – I couldn’t wait to see if changing the temp would make any difference.First of all, this thermometer is cute, whimsical, & seeing it floating there makes it easier to get into a freezing cold tub – lol.It charges quickly – love that there are no batteries needed – & it was ready to use in a few hours. The display is bright, vivid, easy to read, & color coded – depending on your purpose, you’ll know if your water is cold, hot, or just right.I’m sure it would work great in a pool, & it’s perfect for making sure that your child’s bath water is the right temperature.When it comes to a cold plunge, I quickly discovered my water was way too cold, like 35°! Now that I’ve been cold plunging between 50-60° for a few weeks, I’m actually enjoying it more & feeling more benefit – I have even more energy and I’m also more relaxed – my muscles aren’t super tight from freezing cold water!My only wish is that the red color was more vivid – It does look exactly as shown on the product page, and, to me, that color looks sunfaded and washed out rather than a fun, vivid bright red. I would imagine if you’re using this in your pool daily, the fading would continue, and to me, that would be a bummer.Otherwise, I do love this versatile, handy, easy to use, rechargeable, and super cute water thermometer – highly recommend!

Fun way to monitor bath temp!

He is adorable!I chose this thermometer for when my grandson visits. What a fun way to keep an eye on the temperature of the bath water for the duration of the entire bath.The thermometer functions exactly as described. It automatically turns on when placed in the water. It takes just a bit for the reading to stabilize with the water temperature, but not too long. When removed feom the water, it doesn’t instantly shut off; but it does shut off on its own.This thermometer looks like a bath toy. I anticipate my grandson won’t have any idea it’s helping me know if his bath is too warm before he gets in, or if the water needs to be heated up for extended play time.The included charging cable is short, but this isn’t an item you’ll be using while it’s charging. So, the cable length is just fine.(Note: I don’t know how accurate the comparison thermometer in the photo is, but they are still pretty close in readings regardless.)

Be careful with sensor on the back
Looks super well made. After another bath thermometer leaked and shorted on me I figured this would last forever. But then it broke, I think I pushed in the metal temperature detector accidentally, not sure whether it was manufacturer defect or by me but it didn’t work well after that. So be careful with sensor
Poor quality –
Possibly defective but not sure.
Worked when I originally got it and literally the day after the return coverage the thermometer began to work “when it feels like it” does not matter if it’s fully charged or not. Had more than one so didn’t use as much but once I began To use more babies my baby liked that one more it began to pick and choose when it would work.
